KA PAO X LITTLE BEAUTY
Join us for a night of bold flavours, rare wines, and antipodean storytelling as Kiwi winemaking meets Southeast Asian feasting. Ka Pao is teaming up with Fleur McCree, co-founder of Little Beauty — one of New Zealand’s most distinctive, boutique wineries, renowned for small-batch, character-driven wines— to deliver Ka Pao Edinburgh’s first winemaker’s dinner.
Nestled under the mountains of the Waihopai Valley, Little Beauty’s vineyards thrive on stony, free-draining river terraces, basking in Marlborough sunshine and nourished by pure underground water. Here, five varietals, nine clones, and countless microclimates converge to create wines of true individuality.
On the night, you’ll taste through their incredibly limited-run collection alongside a generous Ka Pao feast, and learn how a former secluded sheep farm became one of the most exciting wine sites in the world. Fleur will share insights into sustainable winemaking practices that place her at the forefront of modern Marlborough viticulture.
With a dedication to authenticity, Fleur’s tenacity and passion shine through in single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, and Riesling that speak of both climate and terroir. Little Beauty may hail from the other side of the world, but its wines have already found a home here in Scotland, finding its first Michelin-starred listing at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, Gleneagles.
Expect Ka Pao dishes like White crab, calamansi and coconut, shrimp crackers; Pork and bone marrow stuffed chicken wing, oyster sauce glaze; and Southern yellow curry of Gigha halibut. Fleur will be treating us to several wines across their collection, including their Black Edition Sauvignon Blanc, Limited Edition Pinot Noir, and Noble Edition Gewürztraminer
